From Spec Sheet to Scroll-Stopper: How "The Lab" Turned Panasonic's Deep Tech Into TikTok's Favorite Science Break
Panasonic's Green Impact campaign carried real substance, EV batteries, solar, air purification, and renewable energy, but almost none of it was reaching the audience who'd eventually decide whether Panasonic mattered to them: Gen Z consumers and future employees, on the platform where they were already discovering and sharing knowledge.
We saw an opportunity to stop translating a corporate campaign onto TikTok and instead build something that belonged there. The answer was "The Lab," a recurring, recognizable series that put Panasonic's technology in the hands of a relatable host and let curiosity do the selling, backed by creator partnerships, active community management, and a channel built around Panasonic's own people.
Panasonic Presents: The Lab — A flagship series that turned sustainability tech into scroll-stopping science
-
Bring the breadth and depth of Panasonic's technological and sustainability efforts to life on TikTok in a way that felt natural to the platform, not bolted onto it, reaching consumers and potential employees who had no idea how much of Panasonic's work touched their everyday lives.
TikTok wasn't chosen as just another distribution channel. It was chosen because it's a discovery-driven platform where engaged communities learn and share knowledge, a place to turn Panasonic "inside out," spotlight the people behind the technology, highlight diverse STEM initiatives, and build a credible recruiting presence with the next generation of talent.
-
We helped conceptualize and execute Panasonic's TikTok presence end-to-end, aligning format, message, and channel strategy so a technical, B2B-heavy story could earn attention on a platform built for neither.
-
1) A Signature, Repeatable Series
Most B2B stories are too technical or too brand-comms-heavy to appeal to a broad social audience. We distilled Panasonic's tagline — "Create Today. Enrich Tomorrow." — into "The Lab": a host in a white lab coat guiding viewers down a rabbit hole built around one interesting fact, puzzling question, or surprising outcome in science and technology. Filmed and presented natively to the platform, using TikTok's Green Screen filter, B-roll, screenshots, and screen recordings, it read as TikTok content first and brand content second.2) Creator Partnerships
We brought in creators who could speak credibly to Panasonic's sustainability efforts, alongside younger creators who embodied "Create Today. Enrich Tomorrow." in their own work — letting the message land in voices the audience already trusted.3) Active Community Management
We treated the comments section as a relationship, not a broadcast — engaging with the audience 1:1 in a personal, conversational way.4) Employees at the Center:
We put Panasonic's own people in front of the camera, showing the next generation what it actually looks like to work at Panasonic and turning the channel into a recruiting asset as much as a marketing one. -

Takeaway
"The Lab" converted a technical, B2B-heavy sustainability story into a repeatable content franchise, proof that platform-native format can carry more weight than platform-native spend. A recognizable host, a consistent structure, and real curiosity turned Panasonic's Green Impact campaign into something people chose to watch, not something they scrolled past.
Reach was never the point. Video completion at 3x benchmark, sustained creator partnerships, and a community that talked back mattered more than raw impressions, the same logic that separates a campaign that performs from one that just runs.
The result is a durable format, not a one-off moment: a blueprint Panasonic can extend to new topics, new creators, and new seasons without rebuilding the format from scratch each time.
